Synopsis:

Louisa May Alcott's beloved story is one of the most-read novels ever written.

Sutton Foster stars as Alcott's famed heroine Jo, the budding writer in Civil War New England who pines for adventure, independence, and her own career.

With Father off to war, it's up to Jo, practical older sister Meg, frail sister Beth, and vain sister Amy to help Marmee (Maureen McGovern) to keep the home fires warm while dealing with the rigors of adolescence.

Watch as an amazing creative team bring to Broadway a fresh, new musical version of this classic novel.

"Just like her stage work, Sutton's drawings can be appreciated on two unique levels. From afar, they suggest a moment caught in time, a portrait of nature. But look closely at the details involved and you can appreciate the hard work it takes for Sutton to make it look so easy."

"If the song list is eclectic, so is the singer. You know that magical quality of morning light after a night of torrential downpour?

Redemptive. Pure. Joyful, but hard-won by having survived the rain."
